SJRNA 2020 Block Grant for Jackson Improvement – Volunteers Needed!
- Our neighborhood grant application has been approved! We are ready to proceed with re-landscaping the area along Jackson Street between Cannes Dr. and Daniel Way, beginning in late October. Each home needs to contribute in some way to make this project happen. But wonderful news! There are several ways you can contribute, ranging from easier to harder.
Each home needs to contribute 1-3 volunteer hours, and these hours can be done differently, according to your choices. For instance, here are some examples of how you can do your part:
- $15 donation= 1 volunteer hr. or $45= 3 hrs.
- Dropping off waters/snacks to contractors or volunteers= 1 volunteer hour
- Recruiting volunteers and raising money by calling or door knocking.
- Monitoring the sign-up table on-site during November
- Stronger people can help with landscape area prep! Contractors will do the digging in October, and we will empty new bags of soil amendment in November. Hurray! NO Digging!!!!!
